Tata Group Zero-Debt Burden Co Ink With Telangana Govt, Shares Up Over 6%

Tata Technologies Ltd (TTL) on Saturday inked a significant pact with the Telangana State government to establish Advanced Technical Skill Training Centres in 65 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the state. This initiative is aimed at upgrading the existing ITIs into advanced technology centres, providing specialised training to students, and enhancing their employ ability in the evolving industrial landscape.

Shares of Tata Technologies surged on Friday's trading session following the announcement, with a 6% increase on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and a 5.45% rise on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), closing at Rs 1127.40 and Rs 1127.60, respectively.

Under this collaboration, Tata Technologies, a zero-debt burden company from the esteemed Tata Group, will conduct nine long-term courses, 23 short-term courses, and bridge courses tailored to meet the industry's requirements. This initiative is set to commence in the academic year 2024-2025.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed in the presence of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, who expressed his delight at partnering with Tata Technologies. He highlighted that transforming ITIs into Skill Development Centers will provide training on in-demand skills, opening up better employment opportunities for the local youth. He emphasized that this collaboration would position Telangana as an attractive investment destination for industries keen on adopting Industry 4.0 and smart technologies for manufacturing.
