The much-awaited Tata Sierra was launched today in a mega event on Tuesday, marking one of Tata Motors' most significant unveilings in recent years. Its comeback carries special importance, as the original Sierra-introduced in 1991-was India's first indigenous leisure SUV. The new-generation Sierra blends this iconic heritage with modern design, advanced technology and multiple new powertrain options, making it one of Tata's most ambitious and feature-rich SUVs to date.
Tata Sierra Launched in India: Check This Tata SUV's Price, Colour, Designs, Features and All Details
The all-new Tata Sierra stays true to its roots with the iconic Alpine-window silhouette, a design element that instantly connects it to the original model. However, Tata Motors has given the SUV a contemporary makeover with a connected LED light bar, a redesigned textured grille, low-mounted LED headlamps, flush door handles, and stylish 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

At the rear, the SUV retains a muscular, boxy stance, highlighted by linked LED tail-lamps, blacked-out ORVMs, and a floating roof effect, adding to its modern appeal while maintaining its rugged identity.
All New Tata Sierra Price Ranges ( Expected)
The all-new Tata Sierra has officially been launched in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 11.49 lakh. Interested buyers can start booking the SUV from 16th December 2025, with deliveries expected to commence in January 2026.
Tata Sierra Colour Options
The Sierra is offered in six striking colour choices - Bengal Rouge, Andaman Adventure, Coorg Clouds, Munnar Mist, Mintal Grey, and Pristine White. For enthusiasts of the stealthy look, Tata has also introduced a Dark Edition, featuring an all-black theme across the exterior and cabin.
Premium Cabin and Advanced Technology in Tata Sierra
Inside, the Sierra features a spacious black-and-grey interior equipped with three digital screens, a fully digital driver display and dual infotainment units. The cabin emphasizes comfort with features such as:
- Ventilated and powered front seats
- Dual-zone climate control
- Wireless charging
- Rear sunshades
- Connected car technology
Safety has also been prioritised, with the SUV offering Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and multiple airbags. Tata Motors claims the Sierra also features the slimmest LED headlamp ever fitted to a production car in India, utilizing a 17 mm bi-LED module.
New Tata Sierra Engine and Transmission Options
The new Tata Sierra comes with a diverse range of engine and transmission options designed to suit different types of drivers. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is the most powerful in the lineup, producing 160 to 170 PS depending on the tune, along with 255 to 280 Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox, offering a balance of performance and convenience.
For buyers seeking a more relaxed and economical option, Tata also offers a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This unit generates 106 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque, and it is available with a 6-speed manual as well as a smooth 7-speed DCA automatic, making it suitable for everyday city driving.
The lineup is further strengthened by a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine, which delivers 118 PS of power. Torque output varies based on the gearbox: the 6-speed manual version produces 260 Nm, while the 6-speed automatic pushes it up to 280 Nm. This diesel option is ideal for buyers who prioritize fuel efficiency and long-distance touring.
It is a developing story. Stay tuned for more updates.
