December 15: TDS/TCS, Advance Tax, TDS Certificate, Form 3BB

December 15 is the deadline for furnishing Form 24G by an office of the Government where TDS/TCS for November 2023 has been paid without the production of a challan. Additionally, the third installment of advance tax for the assessment year 2024-25 is also due on this date.

In addition, several TDS certificates for tax deducted in October 2023 also need to be issued by this date. This includes TDS certificates for tax deducted under section 194-IA, section 194-IB, section 194M, and section 194S, depending on the specific provisions applied.

December 30, 2023

It is the due date for furnishing challan-cum-statement concerning tax deducted under various sections. This includes section 194-IB, section 194M, section 194-IA, and section 194S. Timely submission of these challan-cum-statements is required to avoid any penalties.

December 31, 2023

December 31 is the last date for filing of belated/revised return of income for the assessment year 2023-24 for all assessee (if the assessment has not been done before December 31, 2023).

Thus, those taxpayers who have not yet filed their income tax return for the assessment year 2023-24 can file their income tax return by this date.
