Tata Group-backed tech giant, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will be in focus as bidding for its Rs 17,000 crore worth buyback offer will resume from December 4th. The buyback opened on December 1st and will close on December 7th. TCS shares crossed Rs 3,500 levels during the launch day, and many experts have recommended tender shares in this buyback offer.
On BSE, TCS shares ended at Rs 3,509.60 apiece, up by 16.20 or 0.5% with a market cap of Rs 12,84,180.67 crore.

TCS buyback includes buyback of up to 4.09 crore equity shares at a face value of Re 1 each. The size of the buyback is up to Rs 17,000 crore. For the buyback, TCS has fixed a floor price of Rs 4,150 per piece, which is at over 15% discount from the current market price.
The current buyback is in--line with TCS' shareholder-friendly capital allocation practices of returning excess cash to shareholders, thereby increasing shareholder value in the long term and improving the Return On Equity.
The ratio for buyback for small shareholders is fixed at 1 equity share for every 6 equity shares held as of the record date, November 25th. For other general category shareholders, the buyback ratio comprises of 2 equity shares for every 209 equity shares held as of the record date.

Step 4: Based on the option selected above, enter your 'DPID CLID' or 'Folio Number' or 'PAN'
Step 5: Then click on View button
Step 6:The entitlement will be provided in the pre-filled 'FORM OF ACCEPTANCE-CUM ACKNOWLEDGEMENT'
This would be the fifth buyback by TCS in the last six years. The last buyback offer by TCS was of Rs 18,000 crore in 2022, which was oversubscribed by 7.5 times. In this buyback, investors offered 30.12 crore equity shares at the buyback price of Rs 4,500 per share, against the buyback size of 4 crore shares.
Brokerage Motilal Oswal has suggested buy on TCS share for a target price of Rs 4.060.
