TCS Secures Five-Year Digital Infrastructure Modernisation Deal with Air New Zealand

TCS has secured a five-year contract to modernise Air New Zealand's digital infrastructure. The financial terms of this agreement remain undisclosed. The collaboration, which began in September last year, was formally signed at TCS's Banyan Park campus in Andheri. The event was attended by New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Air New Zealand CEO Greg Foran, and TCS CEO K Krithivasan.

TCS Wins Digital Deal with Air New Zealand

The partnership aims to position the airline at the forefront of AI-driven innovation. TCS will enhance Air New Zealand's digital capabilities to improve customer experience and drive efficiencies in fleet management, crew scheduling, and ground services. Additionally, the collaboration will focus on innovation in cargo services, disruption management, retail offerings, maintenance systems, and crew operations.

Air New Zealand operates 3,400 weekly flights globally and serves over 15 million passengers annually. TCS has been present in New Zealand for more than 37 years, catering to over 20 clients. "We began working with TCS in September 2024 and in just a few short months, we've seen the benefits of tapping into the depth and breadth of talent and expertise they have when it comes to digital solutions," said Foran.

TCS's expertise in aviation and its ability to drive large-scale innovation are expected to significantly benefit Air New Zealand. Krithivasan mentioned that TCS plans to reimagine operations, enhance passenger experiences, and build a more agile and resilient airline.
