TCS Q2 Results Good Or Bad? PAT Jumps 15 % YoY To Rs 13,884 Crore, CC Revenue Growth In-Line With Estimates
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) beats financial results for the Q2 of FY27. The Tata Group giant posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 13,884 crore and revenue of Rs 73,188 crore in the quarter under revenue. In constant currency, revenue growth was in line with estimates of 0.5% QoQ, driven by BFSI, manufacturing, and technology services. Annualized AI revenue stood at $3.1 billion.

In Q1FY27, TCS posted consolidated net profit of Rs 13,884 crore, registering a growth of 4% from PAT of Rs 13,349 crore in Q1FY27. PAT surged by 14.98% from Rs 12,075 crore net profit recorded in Q2 of last year. On YoY, TCS beats earnings estimates.
Net margin came in at 19, while operating margins stood at 24% in the quarter. Net cash operations stood at Rs 14,190 crore, which is 102.2% of total net income.
TCS Q2 Results: Revenue Growth
In Indian rupees term, consolidated revenue stood at Rs 73,188 crore in Q2FY27, registering growth of 1.26% QoQ and 11.23% YoY. Revenue stood at Rs 72,275 crore in Q1FY27 and at Rs 65,799 crore in Q2FY26.
Further, in dollar terms, TCS recorded constant currency revenue growth of 0.5% QoQ, in-line with street estimates. International revenue grows at 1.2% QoQ in constant currency. While annualized AI revenue stood at $3.1 billion, crossing 10% of revenue.

TCS is betting big on AI with cybersecurity being its top priority. Aarthi Subramanian, Executive Director - President and Chief Operating Officer, said "AI momentum remained strong, with annualized AI revenues now exceeding $3 billion. Demand for delivering business outcomes with AI-native solutions, AI-led transformation of enterprise systems and autonomous GBS, continues to accelerate."
"Cybersecurity remains a top priority as customers sharpen their focus on resilience and recovery. TCS' Human+AI Services Autonomy model for AMS earned top rankings from customers, underscoring the strength of our differentiated capabilities," said Subramanian.
On segment-wise, BFSI led the growth with 2.5% QoQ and 3.9% YoY. Manufacturing revenue growth stood at 3.1% QoQ and 4.2% YoY, while technology and services growth came in at 3.1% QoQ and 4.8% YoY. On year-on-year basis, Energy, Resources and Utilities, and Regional Markets & Others posted growth of 5.7% and 3.6% but declined by 0.5% and 5.8% QoQ. Communication & Media business growth was broadly steady at 0.1% QoQ and 0.5% YoY, while Life Sciences & Healthcare business growth stood at 0.3% QoQ and 0.5% YoY. Consumer business revenue declined by 0.7% QoQ and 1% YoY.

On geographical basis, India business revenue growth declined 10.3% QoQ, taking the worst hit but it rose by 6% YoY. Rest other geographical market performed better despite West Asia conflict hampering global economy. TCS recorded better growth in UK business to 3.5% QoQ and 4.5% YoY, followed by Latin American business that posted 4.3% QoQ and 1.5% YoY revenue growth. North America market saw growth of 0.4% QoQ and 1.5% YoY.

TCS Q2 Results Deal Wins
As per the FACTSHEET, TCS witnessed a volatile performance. 65 clients were among $100 million+ TCV, which is lower from 66 clients in the preceding quarter. Also, 137 clients were part of $50 million+ deals, lower from 139 clients in the previous quarter. TCS recorded a surge in clients of smaller-size deals like $10 million, $5 million and $1 million+.
