Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a partnership with Salesforce to enhance the use of artificial intelligence in the manufacturing and semiconductor sectors. This collaboration aims to help these industries derive greater value from AI technologies. TCS has introduced three initiatives as part of this effort: Semiconductor Sales Accelerator, Seller for the Future, and Digital Field Service.

AI-Driven Initiatives for Enhanced Sales
The Semiconductor Sales Accelerator is designed to boost sales through data-driven insights. Seller for the Future offers near real-time insights, predictive analytics, and personalised recommendations. Meanwhile, Digital Field Service provides field technicians with real-time information, predictive maintenance insights, and optimised scheduling.
Combining Expertise for Industry Transformation
By combining TCS's and Salesforce's industry expertise, AI, and cloud capabilities, the collaboration aims to help manufacturers and semiconductor companies unlock data-driven insights. This will enable smarter selling strategies and improved service delivery. The initiative addresses the challenge of unlocking data value, often stored in unstructured silos within large organisations.
Prashant Shirgur, Global Head of Enterprise Solutions for Technology, Software and Services at TCS, emphasised the importance of accurate, real-time information in today's fast-paced semiconductor market. He stated that TCS is dedicated to providing clients with the necessary insights to grow their businesses efficiently.
Transforming Sales and Service Processes
The collaboration recognises the unique challenges faced by the manufacturing and semiconductor industries. It leverages the strengths of both companies to digitally transform how these industries sell and service their products. "TCS Crystallus on Salesforce equips sales teams with the intelligent tools they need to engage customers with confidence, shorten sales cycles, and drive revenue growth," Shirgur said.
This partnership between TCS and Salesforce represents a significant step towards enhancing AI adoption in these industries. By addressing data challenges and providing innovative solutions, it aims to improve sales performance and service quality for manufacturers and semiconductor companies.
