Bharti Airtel Surges 10% After Revising Its Tariff Plans

The stock of Bharti Airtel surged up to 10% to touch an intra-day high of Rs. 485.75 on the BSE. The stock in the previous session ended at Rs.442.30 per share.

Bharti Airtel Surges 10% After Revising Its Tariff Plans

On Sunday, telecom major Bharti Airtel rolled out new revised tariff plan in order to pay off its adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues to the government. The new rates will come into effect from December 3.

Post the hike, the company's pack with validity of 28 days and offering unlimited calling, 300 SMS as well as 2GB data would cost Rs. 148.

Other plans valued at Rs. 169 and Rs. 199 with 28 days validity have now been clubbed to offer similar offering as in the previous plan i.e. 100 sms per day, 1.5 GB data per day and unlimited calling but will be priced at Rs. 248.

Similarly, the Rs. 249 pack will now be available for Rs. 248. And other packs with a validity of 82 days and costing Rs. 448 and Rs. 449 will be now offered at Rs. 598 and Rs. 698 for 84 days.

The stock last quoted at Rs. 477.35 per share, with a surge of 7.92% or Rs. 35.05.
