According to Macy's website, there is no public viewing or press access in the telecast area on 6th Avenue from West 34th to West 38th Streets & on West 34th Street between Broadway & 7th Avenue. No public viewing on Central Park West between West 59th & West 60th Streets. No public viewing on the south side of West 34th Street between Broadway & 7th Avenue.

NBC and Macy's are in negotiations to extend their broadcast contract which would increase the license fee to $60 million, as per Wikipedia.
