These Companies Are Offering Work From Home Allowance For Internet, Electricity Bills etc.
Amid the lockdown with more safety conditions in home towns being less populated, majority of Indian workforce drifted back to their home town and now with work related task being accomplished effectively, many companies are even considering or even have announced permanent work from home. Some start ups seeking such a change forever are Oyo and Zomato.
Also, with the Department of Telecom now approving extended work from home for IT employees until December, employers are paying out extra to set up office like ambience with upgraded furniture or internet hardware. At the same time, employees are asking for other work from home related allowance for increased electricity or internet bills.
Companies providing work from home allowance
1. Google:
Even as the US based search engine giant announced work from home until 2020 end it set aside $1000 for each employee to enable work from home setting including furniture and other hardware etc.
2. Uber:
The cab-aggregator company too followed the footsteps of Google
3. Bobble.ai:
Similarly, this artificial intelligence company has set aside a one-time allowance for its employees.
4. G7 CR Technologies:
Bengaluru-based company also announced Rs. 18000 as allowance for all its employees.
So, similarly other startups are venturing into providing no question asked allowance and helping them with getting the required furniture or getting high-speed internet setting done for them. Even some of the companies have been partnering with brands providing ergonomic chair for work at subsidized rate as per the comments of Razorpay Head comments in a leading daily.
