Today's Gold Price Delhi: Precious Metal Price Rises, Crosses 52,000 Mark Now

The price of gold in Delhi has surged by Rs 497 to settle at Rs 52,220 per 10 grams on Thursday amid a rise in metal and decline in the Rupee, said HDFC Securities. In the previous trade, the yellow metal prices ended at Rs 51,723 per 10 grams.

22 Carat Gold price in India is registered at Rs 47,850 per 10 grams after a gain of Rs 100 on Thursday. The price of gold has surged by Rs 1350 in 4 days span. The price of 24 Carat gold in India is Rs 52,200 per 10 grams after a rise of Rs 100.

Meanwhile, the prices of silver fell marginally by Rs 80 to close at Rs 61,605 per kg from the earlier 61,685 per kg, according to a PTI report.

It is worth noting that the Indian Rupee declined by Rs 4 paise to 81.66 against the US Dollar in early trade on October 6, 2022 amid rising volatility as surging crude oil prices weighed on the local unit. It is important to note that if the rupee slides against the dollar, gold prices in India per gram become expensive.

Demand plays an important role in determining the gold rates today per gram in India. If the demand is not robust prices would fall. On the other hand, in times of good demand prices of gold would gain.

As festival season is currently underway, the demand for gold goes higher and therefore prices also jump. Rupee also fell today which led to rise in gold price.
When it comes to the global market, precious metal was trading in green at USD 1,722.6 per ounce while silver was flat at USD 20.68 per ounce.

"COMEX gold continues its northbound journey following weakness in the dollar. Domestic gold prices also headed higher following a weaker rupee, higher international gold prices and robust festive demand and lower supply," Dilip Parmar, Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, said.
