Indian Exporters to the UK: New DCTS Rules Begin January 1, 2024

Indian exporters to the UK must comply with the new UK Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS) rules from January 1, 2024, to avail duty concessions. The UK has replaced its existing origin declaration process under the Generalized Scheme of Preferences (GSP) with the UK DCTS. Goods meeting the UK DCTS Rules of Origin (RoO) requirements will be eligible for concessional import duty rates. Indian exporters must self-certify the origin criteria to claim these concessions.
