Union Budget, 2022: Govt. Aims 2.37 Lakh Crore Procurement From Agriculture Sector

In the Union Budget 2022-2023, FM Nirmala Sitharaman says, drones are to be deployed for the agriculture sector, and chemical-free natural farming is to be promoted soon. She added that the government will look out for 2.37 lakh crore agri procurement. FM has also mentioned finance start ups for the agri sector and multiple agriculture universities in states.

This will ensure assured income to farmers towards direct payments for minimum support price (MSP) to wheat and paddy farmers. These payments will be made over the next year, April 2022-March 2023.
