The Economic Survey 2026 will be tabled in Parliament today, January 29, ahead of the presentation of the Union Budget 2026 on February 1st. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present the survey at 11 am during Day 2 of the ongoing Budget Session. It will be the first official snapshot of India's economic health before Budget Day.

Every year before the budget, the Economic Survey of India is released annually by the Ministry of Finance and is taken as a comprehensive review of the country's macroeconomic performance and growth outlook. It plays a big role in shaping expectations around budget priorities and fiscal strategy.

Part A provides a broad overview of the Indian economy, macroeconomic trends, fiscal performance, and global linkages.
Part B focuses on targeted themes such as education, healthcare, employment, climate resilience, and social sector outcomes, offering insights that may influence policy announcements in the Union Budget.
