The Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department has launched a dedicated helpline to assist farmers in accessing information about various schemes and subsidies. This initiative aims to simplify the process and reduce the need for in-person visits to government offices.
Farmers in Uttar Pradesh can now access information about Agriculture Department schemes with a single phone call, eliminating the need for frequent visits to government offices. Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and Minister of State Baldev Singh Aulakh launched this helpline at the Directorate of Agriculture. The helpline is reachable at 0522-2317003, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, according to an official statement.

Shahi explained that the helpline's purpose is to prevent farmers from making unnecessary trips for scheme information. "The objective of this helpline is to ensure that farmers do not have to wander or make repeated visits for information about schemes," he stated. Farmers can now easily obtain details about subsidies, schemes, solar pumps, and other department-related information through a simple phone call.
Accessing Agricultural Information
By dialling the helpline number, farmers can receive comprehensive details on various topics. These include subsidies on agricultural machinery, seeds, fertilisers, and pesticides. Additionally, they can learn about profitable schemes and new agricultural machinery. This service aims to enhance agricultural production and profitability by providing essential information directly to farmers.
The helpline also offers insights into the digital agriculture survey and farmer registry. This ensures that farmers have access to up-to-date information without needing to visit physical locations. The initiative is designed to streamline the process of obtaining crucial agricultural data, thereby supporting farmers in their efforts to improve crop production.
Enhancing Farmer Support
Through this service, farmers can gain knowledge about research and innovations in agriculture. This includes advancements that could potentially increase their productivity and income. By making this information readily available, the Agriculture Department aims to empower farmers with the tools they need for success.
The introduction of this helpline marks a significant step towards improving accessibility to agricultural resources in Uttar Pradesh. It reflects a commitment to supporting farmers by reducing bureaucratic hurdles and providing them with timely information. This initiative is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing the overall efficiency of agricultural operations in the region.
