Four public sector undertakings today witnessed fresh 52-week high in trade as BSE Sensex ended the day with marginal surge of 31.68 to 72,271 and Nifty50 gained 10 points to 21,741 on Monday. These PSU stocks are NHPC Ltd, GAIL, Bank of Baroda, and Hindustan Aeronautics. Check details below:

NHPC shares hit 52-week high in trade today and witnessed spurt in volume by more than 1.76 times. NHPC shares offered return of 67% in last 1-year and rose 114% in last 2-years. NHPC operates in power generation industry.

2. GAIL: Large cap gas transmission industry stock Gail (India) Ltd shares rallied 2.62% and hit its new 52-week high today. Last trading price of Gail share on BSE is Rs 166.30 per share on BSE. The company has a market capitalisation of Rs 1,09,343.91 crore. Gail stock offered attractive return of 73% in last 1-year and gained 93% in last 2-years. In last 3-years, Gail shares rallied 102%.

3. Bank of Baroda: The public sector lender also witnessed attractive rally today. Last trading price of Bank of Baroda share on BSE is Rs 233.90 per share on BSE with intraday gain of 1.21%. Bank of Baroda has a market capitalisation of Rs 1,20,958.16 crore. Bank of Baroda shares offered return of 23% in last 6-months, gained 185% in last 2-years, and surged 262% in last 3-years. Today, RBI imposed penalty on Bank of Baroda.

4. Hindustan Aeronautics: Last trading price of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd share on BSE is Rs 2826.95 per share with intraday gain of 0.84%. Hindustan Aeronautics shares on Monday, January 1 hit fresh 52-week high. Hindustan Aeronautics stock offered shareholders return of 123% in last-year only and gained 367% in last 2-years. In last 3-years, Hindustan Aeronautics shares jumped 560%.
