Washington Averts Government Shutdown with Stopgap Funding Bill

Congressional leaders have reached an agreement on a stopgap funding bill to prevent a partial government shutdown next week. The temporary measure will extend funding for some federal agencies until March 1 and for the rest of the government until March 8.
