US Stock Market Weekly Trading Outlook For August 24-28; Will Dow Jones, Nasdaq, S&P 500 End August Bullish?

The US stock market's weekly trading outlook is modestly cautious from August 24th to August 28th, which is the last trading week of the current month. AI giant Nvidia will be in focus due to its quarterly results, followed by Hyperliquid, Salesforce, and HP Inc. among other companies. A host of economic data, like Q2 GDP, initial jobless claims, retail inventories, trade balance, and ADP weekly employment change data, will contribute to the overall sentiment. Last week, all three indices on Wall Street ended on a bearish tone.

US Stock Market Weekly Trading Outlook For August 24-28:

"I will provide an overall "modestly cautious" forecast for stocks next week, since the end of summer tends to be seasonally week time for markets, on top of continued uncertainty amid the Iran conflict, all while bond yields appear to be resuming their selloff," said Jim Ferraioli, Director of Digital Currencies Research and Strategy for the Schwab Center for Financial Research.

What could change his forecast? He said, "While there are certainty risks, many of these risks have been in place all year, and amid a strong backdrop of earnings growth across the entire US stock market, strong economic data, it wouldn't surprise me if the market continued to look through the risks."

For the overall global market, Kruti Shah, Quant Analyst, Equirus Securities said, "a softer DXY, Treasury yields and firm precious metals continue to support risk assets, although elevated crude prices remain a key monitorable. The recent correction appears more positioning-led than fundamentally driven, and any stabilization in global cues could trigger a tactical rebound."
