Uttar Pradesh BRICS trade grows as exports cross USD 5.36 billion in FY 2025-26
Uttar Pradesh said its trade, technology, and investment ties with BRICS are strengthening, with exports to member and partner countries reaching USD 5.36 billion in FY 2025-26. At the BRICS MSME Forum in Agra, MSME Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary highlighted key export sectors and the ODOP scheme supporting jobs and market access.
Uttar Pradesh said trade, technology and investment links with BRICS nations were growing. The state government said exports to BRICS members and partner countries crossed USD 5.36 billion in the financial year 2025-26. The statement linked the rise to stronger outreach and wider market access for goods made in the state.

Officials said BRICS member countries received goods worth about USD 3.938 billion. Partner nations accounted for exports worth USD 1.429 billion, the government added. Uttar Pradesh said key export items included machinery, garments, leather, carpets and precious stones. The figures were shared alongside discussions on business and cooperation with BRICS economies.
Uttar Pradesh BRICS exports highlighted at Agra forum
At the BRICS MSME Forum in Agra, UP MSME Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary addressed delegates. The three-day event included representatives from BRICS countries and MSME officials. The government said the forum focused on opportunities for small businesses, including trade support, technology use, and investment partnerships across member and partner countries.
Chaudhary said Uttar Pradesh’s MSME base supported jobs and economic activity across the state. Chaudhary said around 96 lakh MSME units were operating in Uttar Pradesh. Chaudhary said these units provided employment to about 1.65 crore people. The minister also linked this scale to innovation and wider industrial growth.
Uttar Pradesh BRICS exports linked to ODOP support
The government said the One District One Product ODOP scheme helped local skills reach global buyers. Chaudhary said the programme connected traditional crafts and local talent with overseas markets. Under ODOP, more than 20,000 people received margin money support of around Rs 897 crore, the statement said. It also said this created 3.16 lakh employment opportunities.
Chaudhary also pointed to the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana for traditional workers. The statement said over 4.41 lakh artisans received modern toolkits and training under the scheme. Officials said this support aimed to improve product quality and capacity. The government linked such steps to stronger competitiveness in export markets.
Uttar Pradesh BRICS exports supported by youth and parks plans
The state said it launched the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign for self-employment. Officials said the scheme provided interest-free loans without guarantee to eligible youth. The target was to set up 10 lakh new micro units over 10 years, the government added. The state linked the drive to wider MSME growth.
The government said MSME parks were also being developed under the PLEDGE scheme. It said parks were already approved in 12 districts. Officials said these parks were meant to improve the industrial ecosystem for small firms. Uttar Pradesh said the combined steps supported exports, jobs and wider BRICS-linked business engagement.
