Vedanta dividend 2025: Mining and metals sector giant Vedanta Ltd has declared a fresh dividend for its shareholders. The board of directors, in its meeting held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, approved a second interim dividend of Rs. 16 per equity share on the face value of Rs. 1 per share for the financial year 2025-26.

In its exchange filing, the company confirmed that the record date for Vedanta dividend 2025 has been fixed as Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Shareholders whose names appear in the company's records as of this date will be eligible to receive the dividend. As per SEBI regulations, the dividend will be credited to shareholders' accounts within the stipulated timelines.
According to the regulatory filing by Vedanta, "We wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of Vedanta Limited (the "Company"), at its meeting held today, i.e., Thursday, August 21, 2025, has considered and approved the Second Interim Dividend of ₹ 16/- per equity share on a face value of ₹ 1/- per equity share for the Financial Year 2025-26, amounting to c. ₹ 6,256 Crores. As intimated earlier, the record date for the purpose of payment of dividend shall be Wednesday, August 27, 2025, and the interim dividend shall be duly paid within the stipulated timelines as prescribed under law."

Vedanta has been a consistent dividend-paying company, rewarding investors with attractive interim payouts year after year. In 2024, the company announced four interim dividends: Rs. 11.00 per share on May 24, Rs. 4.00 per share on August 2, Rs. 20.00 per share on September 10, and Rs. 8.50 per share on December 24. Moving into 2025, Vedanta had already declared Rs. 7.00 per share on June 24, followed by the latest Rs. 16.00 per share dividend approved on August 21, 2025.
