Vedanta Power Q1 Result: Net Loss Widens To Rs 423 Crore vs Rs 88 Cr Profit; Revenue Up 31%
Vedanta Power Q1 Result: Vedanta reported a net consolidated loss of Rs 423 crore in the first quarter of financial year 2026-27. Despite the loss due to one-time cost, its net revenue from operations increased by 31% on an annual basis.
Vedanta Power stock closed 0.98% lower at Rs 35.31 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 13,807.58 crore on Wednesday. The stock had touched an intraday high of Rs 36.28 per share and an intraday low of Rs 34.70 per share.

Vedanta Power Q1 Result
The company's net consolidated loss (attributable to owners of the company) stood at Rs 423 crore in Q1FY27 against a net profit of Rs 88 crore in the year-ago period. The firm had reported a net profit of Rs 139 crore in the December quarter.
Its revenue from operations stood at Rs 2607 crore, which is 31% higher than Rs 1986 crore reported in Q1FY26. The firm's total revenue from operations stood at Rs 2,684 crore in Q4FY26.
Vedanta Power Sales
Vedanta Power secured nearly 74% of its power sales under long-term/medium-term PPAs such as Punjab, Odisha, 500 MW contract with Tamil Nadu and recently secured 100 MW contract with Kerala.
Vedanta Power's Meenakshi Energy Limited achieved its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA of Rs. 112 Crores, which was 20% higher than the previous quarter. The plant sold around 1,350 MU of power. Vedanta Power's Talwandi Sabo Thermal Plant (TSTP) emerged as a strong performer with Plant Availability Factor (PAF) up from 77% to 86%. "TSTP has more than doubled ash revenues on YoY basis by improving sales realisation and consumed the highest ever biomass co-firing in Punjab (nearly 8%)," stated the company in its press release.
"Our maiden quarter as a standalone listed company marks an important milestone for Vedanta Power. Strong revenue and power sales, backed by operational excellence, fuel security, improved credit ratings, and sustainability initiatives, demonstrate the resilience of our business and future readiness," stated Rajinder Singh Ahuja, Chief Executive Officer, Vedanta Power Limited.
Vedanta Power Share Price Trend
The stock touched its 52-week high mark of Rs 52.49 per share on BSE on July 3, 2026. The stock dipped to its 52-week low mark of Rs 33.93 per share on July 24, 2026. The stock value has declined around 10% in two weeks and close to 14.7% in one month.
