Vedanta Delivers Blockbuster Q3 Result: PAT Up 60% to Record High, Silver Drives Zinc India Earnings

Vedanta Q3 Result Today: Metal to mining conglomerate, Vedanta Limited, on Thursday, reported a sharp 61% jump in its net consolidated profit (attributable to owners) to Rs 5710 crore in Q3FY26. The company also saw a sharp surge in its EBITDA, driven by margin boost.

The Anil Agarwal-led conglomerate reported its highest-ever net consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 7,807 crore during the quarter under review.

Vedanta shares closed 3.93% higher at Rs 766.1 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 1,29,603.56 crore on Thursday.

Vedanta Q3 Result: Net Profit, Revenue

Vedanta's net profit (attributable to owners) stood at Rs 5,710 crore, which was 61% higher than Rs 3,547 crore reported in the year-ago period. The diversified metal giant's net consolidated revenue surged to Rs 22,979 crore in Q3FY26 against Rs 16,742 crore reported in the year-ago period.

Vedanta Q3 Result: Highest Ever EBITDA

The company reported its highest-ever Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) of Rs 15,171 crore, up 34% on a yearly basis and 31% on a sequential basis.

Silver Contributed 44% In Zinc India's Overall Profit

The massive rally in silver rate in India and across the international markets helped boost Zinc India's performance during the quarter. "Aluminium posted its strongest EBITDA margin of $1,268 per ton, supported by record alumina and aluminium production. Zinc India recorded its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA of ₹6,064 crore, driven by record mined and refined metal output, with silver contributing 44% of overall profit," stated Arun Misra, Executive Director, Vedanta.

"We delivered our highest-ever quarterly PAT of ₹7,807 crore, marking a strong 60% YoY growth. Our Q3 revenue stood at a record ₹45,899 crore, up 19% YoY, while EBITDA reached an all-time high of ₹15,171 crore, growing 34% YoY," stated Ajay Goel, Chief Financial Officer, Vedanta.

Vedanta Q3 Operational Performance

Aluminium And Zinc

In the Aluminium segment, Vedanta recorded quarterly alumina production at 794 kt, up 57% on an annual basis. Vedanta's Zinc India clocked the highest-ever mined metal production at 276 kt in the third quarter. Mined metal production at Zinc International surged nearly 28% on a year-on-year basis.

Oil & Gas, Iron Ore, Power

The group's third-quarter production for FY26 stood at 84.9 kboepd (thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day). The Iron ore production stood at 1.2 Mnt, which was 3% higher on a year-on-year basis. Vedanta's power sales increased 61% on an annual basis, supported by the commissioning of Athena and Meenakshi power plants.

Steel Production

The steel production stood at 325 kt, which jumped around 19% on a quarter-on-quarter basis and copper cathode production at 45 kt remained flat.
