Vedanta Share Price Today: Shares of Vedanta Limited pared the early trading session gains and were trading in the red on Thursday, hours before the announcement of its first-quarter results for the financial year 2026-27. The Anil Agarwal-led metal giant will announce its quarterly earnings for the first time since the demerger of four entities, i.e., Vedanta Power, Vedanta Iron & Steel, Vedanta Aluminium, and Vedanta Oil & Gas.

Vedanta's aluminoum and zinc segment will show resilience owingto demand and efficiency factors, however, the performance in other segments will hinge on production trends and international commodity prices, according to Siddharth Maurya, Founder & Managing Director, Vibhavangal Anukulakara Pvt. Ltd.

"In anticipation of Vedanta's Q1 results, there will be a keen watch by the market on commodity pricing, production levels, EBITDA margins, and the management's comments on capital deployment and growth. The aluminium and zinc segments will show resilience owing to demand and efficiency factors, while the performance in the oil & gas and iron ore segments will hinge on production trends and international commodity prices," stated Siddharth Maurya, while highlighting key focus on debt structure, dividend expectations and expansion plans.
"There will also be scrutiny of the company's debt structure, dividend expectations, and possible expansion plans in light of the recent corporate reorganisation. Good performance on the operations front and positive cash flows could boost investors' morale, while margin squeeze could create volatility," the expert added.

Vedanta has declared around 49 dividends since July 23, 2001, as per Trendlyne data. Over the past one year, Vedanta has declared an equity dividend close to Rs 27 per share. The metal stock has a dividend yield of around 10.21%, as per Trendlyne data.

Vedanta demerger came into effect on May 1, 2026. Vedanta share price started trading their ex-demerger date from April 30 (as April 31 and May 1 were stock market holiday). These four entities are Vedanta Aluminium, Vedanta Power, Vedanta Oil & Gas, and Vedanta Iron & Steel. The metals and mining giant Vedanta has split into five businesses with effect from May 1, 2026.

The stock opened higher on Thursday but lost most of its gains over the next two hours. Vedanta stock was trading 0.04% lower at Rs 264.4 per share on BSE at 10:47 am. The stock had touched an intraday high mark of Rs 266.50 per share, and an intraday low mark of Rs 263.50 per share. Vedanta stock touched its 52-week high mark of Rs 360.70 per share and an intraday low mark of Rs 151.13 per share on August 29, 2025. The stock has a return on equity of 23.53%.
