The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference resulted in over 1,200 MoUs, projecting an investment of Rs 3.24 lakh crore for north Gujarat's growth and development.
During the inaugural Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) in Mehsana district, over 1,200 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, aiming for an investment of Rs 3.24 lakh crore. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel addressed the closing ceremony at Ganpat University, Kherva village. He highlighted the event's success in aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of creating a global village and supporting local initiatives.

Patel noted that PM Modi has effectively linked citizens with the government, fostering progress in various sectors from cleanliness to technology. The conference saw 1,212 MoUs signed, promising significant investment in north Gujarat, which is expected to boost regional development. The VGRC aims to fulfil the PM's vision of inclusive growth by extending development beyond urban areas to villages and regions through public involvement.
Investment and Development Focus
The Mehsana event was the first of four planned Regional Conferences by the state government, inspired by the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) initiated in 2003 under Modi's leadership. These conferences aim to drive regional growth through discussions, seminars, presentations, and MoUs. Patel stated that these efforts would open new avenues for industry, investment, and employment in north Gujarat.
State Industries Minister Balvantsinh Rajput emphasised the conference's role in positioning Gujarat as a leader in innovation and sustainable development. He mentioned that around 30,000 participants attended the event, including delegates from 72 countries. The conference facilitated meetings with international industrialists and organisations to discuss exporting Gujarat's products.
Global Participation and Economic Impact
The theme "Regional Aspirations, Global Ambitions" underscored the conference's goal to create opportunities for industry and employment. Rajput highlighted that these interactions led to an estimated trade value of Rs 500 crore. The event has been pivotal in bringing new prospects to north Gujarat and establishing it as a model for inclusive development.
The VGRC has set a precedent for future conferences aimed at regional advancement. By focusing on local aspirations with global ambitions, it seeks to integrate Gujarat into the global economy while ensuring grassroots development. This approach aligns with broader national goals of sustainable and inclusive growth.
The conference's success is seen as a step towards realising PM Modi's vision of a connected and progressive India. It has laid the groundwork for future initiatives that will continue to drive economic growth and development across various sectors in Gujarat.
