The 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit witnessed the signing of 47 MOUs, signaling investment intentions of Rs 1.56 lakh crore and the potential to generate over 7.59 lakh employment opportunities.
The 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) is poised to be a resounding success, with a remarkable 47 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) signed on Wednesday, expressing investment intentions worth a staggering Rs 1.56 lakh crore. This significant development is expected to generate over 7.59 lakh employment opportunities, signaling a bright future for the state's economy.

Cumulative Investment Potential
With the addition of these latest MOUs, the total number of agreements signed in the lead-up to the summit has reached an impressive 2,747, showcasing a potential investment of Rs 3.37 lakh crore. These MOUs encompass a diverse range of industries, including engineering, auto industries, mineral-based projects, industrial parks, textiles and apparel, education, health, and agro and food processing.
Strategic Locations and Sectoral Focus
The industries covered by the MOUs are strategically planned to commence operations between 2023 and 2028. They will be situated in various districts across Gujarat, including Kutch, Bharuch, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Amreli, Vadodara, Surat, Panchmahal, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Dang, Navsari, and Rajkot.
Employment Generation and Vibrant District Initiative
The signing of these MOUs is expected to have a significant impact on employment generation in the state. It is estimated that these industries will provide employment opportunities for over 10.91 lakh people. Additionally, the Vibrant Gujarat-Vibrant District (VGVD) initiative has resulted in the signing of 2,600 MOUs, representing investment intentions of approximately Rs 46,000 crore, with the potential to create employment for 1.70 lakh individuals.
International Participation and Roadshows
The 10th VGGS has garnered significant international attention, with 21 countries confirming their participation as partner nations. These countries include Australia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, Mozambique, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Poland, and Tanzania. Furthermore, 16 partner organizations are also participating in the summit.
To promote the summit and attract potential investors, roadshows have been organized in ten major cities across India, with another one scheduled in Hyderabad on December 22. Additionally, international roadshows have been conducted in 11 countries.
