BJP President Lays Foundation Stone for Vishram Sadan at AIIMS Bilaspur

New Delhi, February 23: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Jagat Prakash Nadda laid the foundation stone for a Vishram Sadan at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, on Friday.

Vishram Sadan Facilities

The Vishram Sadan at AIIMS Bilaspur will be a four-story structure spanning 4,641.38 square meters and will house 250 beds. The project is estimated to cost Rs 26.75 crore and will be equipped with all necessary amenities, including a waiting hall, cafeteria, and fully furnished rooms and dormitories.

Project Collaboration

The foundation stone for the POWERGRID Vishram Sadan at AIIMS Bilaspur was laid by J.P. Nadda, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), in the presence of Dr. Mansukh L. Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Chemical and Fertilizers. Power Grid Corporation CMD R.K. Tyagi was also present at the event.

POWERGRID's CSR Initiatives at AIIMS Bilaspur

POWERGRID is undertaking projects worth approximately Rs 50 crore for AIIMS Bilaspur under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. These projects include the installation of a state-of-the-art MRI machine worth Rs 16 crore, which offers safer and more comfortable imaging experiences with quick and accurate results. Additionally, POWERGRID is providing a 128 Slice CT Scanner machine valued at Rs 7 crore.

As a responsible corporate citizen, POWERGRID has already constructed seven Vishram Sadans at various hospitals across India. These include facilities at AIIMS, New Delhi; KGMC, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh; IGIMS, Patna, Bihar; DMCH, Darbhanga, Bihar; SSG, Vadodara, Gujarat; and NIMHANS, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
