Vivo X200 FE and Vivo X Fold 5 Launched: Vivo has announced the launch of its much-anticipated second foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 5, alongside the more affordable Vivo X200 FE in India. The Vivo X Fold 5, successor to the X Fold 3 Pro, arrives to intensify competition in the rapidly evolving foldable smartphone market, going head-to-head with rivals such as Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The Vivo X Fold 5 is priced at Rs 1,49,999 for the 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage variant. Pre-bookings have commenced, with official sales slated to start from 30 July 2025. It will be available in a sophisticated Titanium Gray colour.

The Vivo X200 FE starts at Rs 54,999 for the 12 GB/256 GB variant, while the higher-end 16 GB/512 GB model retails at Rs 59,999. Sales will begin on 23 July 2025, with colour options including Amber Yellow, Forest Blue, and Luxe Grey.

When unfolded, the main display expands to a substantial 8.03 inches, utilising AMOLED technology with the same refresh rate and peak brightness, providing users with an immersive viewing experience.
To protect its outer screen, Vivo has employed the second-generation Armor Glass, ensuring durability and resistance to daily wear and tear.
In terms of dimensions, the Vivo X Fold 5 is notably slim and lightweight for a foldable device, measuring 9.2 mm when folded and thinning down to just 4.3 mm when opened. The phone weighs 217 grams, making it relatively comfortable to hold despite its large display.
Durability and Battery: One of the standout features of the Vivo X Fold 5 is its robust water resistance. It is the first foldable phone to feature IPX8, IPX9, IPX9+ water resistance ratings along with 5X protection, underscoring Vivo's commitment to durability in this premium device.

The Vivo X200 FE, while positioned as a more budget-friendly alternative, still boasts commendable specifications. It features a 6.31-inch display with a peak brightness of 5,000 nits and a 120 Hz refresh rate, promising vivid and smooth visuals.
The device is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9300+ chip, supported by up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, and also runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15.
The battery is a sizeable 6,500 mAh unit with 90 W fast charging, ensuring longevity and quick recharge times. For durability, the X200 FE features Shield Glass reinforced with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The camera system includes a 50 MP ZEISS telephoto lens capable of up to 100x zoom, a 50 MP main camera, and an 8 MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, it carries a 50 MP front camera, delivering sharp and detailed images.
