JPMorgan kept its 'neutral' rating with a target price of Rs 8 per share. According to the brokerage firm, Vodafone Idea's Q4 results were mostly in line with expectations in terms of revenue and EBITDA. However, while the company's capital spending rose to Rs 4,230 crore from Rs 3,210 crore in the previous quarter, it was still lower than the estimated Rs 5,000 crore.

Meanwhile, Macquarie has maintained its 'underperform' rating on Vodafone Idea and set a target price of Rs 6.5 per share. The brokerage said the company had a weak Q4, falling short of expectations due to continued loss of subscribers and rising interest costs. It also pointed out that Vodafone Idea is facing deep, long-term challenges that do not have easy solutions. Since the government is already the largest shareholder, Macquarie believes there's little room for more equity support from the Centre.

Vodafone Idea Q4 Results 2025 Highlights

Vodafone Idea posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 7,166.1 crore for the fourth quarter ending March 2025. While the loss remains substantial, it marks a modest improvement over the Rs 7,674.6 crore loss recorded in the same quarter last year, indicating gradual progress in the company's financial recovery.

During the quarter, the telecom operator's revenue rose to Rs 11,010 crore, reflecting a 3.8% year-on-year growth. This increase was driven by improved service performance and a steady rebound in its subscriber base. Additionally, the company reported an EBITDA of Rs 4,660 crore. Its cash EBITDA, excluding accounting adjustments, climbed to Rs 2,320 crore-up 6.5% compared to the previous year.

Vodafone Idea Full Financial Year Performance

Vodafone Idea showed consistent progress over the full financial year. Its total revenue for FY25 rose by 2.2%, reaching Rs 43,570 crore, up from Rs 42,650 crore in FY24. Alongside this, the company's annual cash EBITDA, excluding the impact of lease accounting grew by 9.5%, climbing from Rs 8,400 crore to Rs 9,200 crore.

This marks the third year in a row that Vodafone Idea has achieved growth in both revenue and cash EBITDA, even as it continues to face significant challenges such as high debt levels and intense market competition.

Vodafone Idea's ARPU rose to Rs 175 in Q4 FY25, up from Rs 153 a year ago, reflecting a 14.2% year-on-year increase. This growth, excluding M2M users, indicates improved earnings per customer and stronger financial performance.
