Annapurna Bhandar Scheme 2026: West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari has announced the rollout of the most promising aspect of the 2026 election manifesto, where the BJP said that if elected, they are going to continue the TMC Women's welfare program, "Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme" with a bigger amount. Currently, under the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme, General category women were receiving Rs. 1,500 monthly and SC/ST women were receiving Rs. 1,700 monthly.

Now that BJP is finally in power in West Bengal, the CM yesterday announced that the scheme will be rolled out from June 2026, and women beneficiaries will receive direct financial assistance of Rs. 3000 per month in their bank accounts.
As per an announcement on X handle, BJP in West Bengal said, "Honourable CM, in a meeting with MLAs and District Magistrates, has directed the officials to implement the 'Annapurna Bhandaar' scheme from June 1, 2026.BJP will fulfil its promise of financially empowering women of West Bengal by giving Rs. 3000 soon."
How to Apply for the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme: Expected Process
The Annapurna Bhandar scheme is presently being discussed by the government officials and will be formally launched from June 1st onwards. Currently no application process is open for the public. Once the scheme officially opens, the application process may work like other welfare schemes in West Bengal.

Step 3: Enter Aadhaar and personal details
Step 4: Upload required documents

Offline applications may also be accepted through Duare Sarkar camps, BDO offices, SDO offices & Municipality offices
