Public Holidays in January, February 2026

There will be a public holiday on 1, 12, 23, and 26 January to observe New Year's Day, Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, Netaji's Birthday, Saraswati Puja, Republic Day, etc. Additionally, there will be no public holiday in February.

The state government has notified public holiday on 15 August on the occasion of Independence Day. Whereas in September, the state government has notified 4th September as a holiday to celebrate Janmashtami.

Government Holiday in October 2026

In October, there will be a public holiday on 2nd, 10th, 19th, 20th, and 21st of the month to observe Gandhi Jayanti, Mahalaya, Durga Puja Maha Ashtami, Maha Navami, and Dasami.

Government Holiday in Nov, December 2026

In November, there will be public holiday on 11 and 24 November to observe Bhratridwiya and Guru Nanak Jayanti. There will be a state government holiday on Christmas on 25 December.
