When Will Noida International Go Live?

Noida International Airport at Jewar was inaugurated on March 28, 2026. However, the commercial flight operations from the airport will begin in mid-April, reported NDTV report. The exact date of flight operations beginning is yet to be released.

What Can Passengers Expect ?

The airport has already received its DGCA aerodrome licence and BCAS security clearance. Passengers travelling via Noida International Airport can expect single integrated terminal, digital processing, smart parking and signal-free road links from Noida, Greater Noida, Delhi and Agra.

The terminal is planned around a simple vertical split. Departures sit on the upper level, while the lower level manages all arrivals. A shared central concourse links both floors, with lifts and escalators placed together. This means passengers do not move between distant buildings or terminals, reducing confusion at India's newest aviation hub.

Noida International Airport: What To Expect?

Located along Yamuna Expressway, Noida International Airport has a dedicated parking zone for 1,200 vehicles. It sits directly in front of the main building. The layout tries to remove what planners call "the long walk". Lifts and escalators are placed to connect drop-off points straight to the entrance, easing movement with heavy bags.

Quick Processing

To ensure quick processing of passenger formalities, the airport will have a 10-minute window for check-in and bag drop. The terminal also uses a 'frictionless' layout with eight entry gates. Each of them hold eight access points. All these gates support Digi Yatra, enabling biometric, contactless entry from the curb to the check-in area.
Once the entrance is cleared, passengers will see a front-facing check-in hall instead of hidden counters. People can also skip the step and move straight to self-bag drop machines if they have completed web check-ins.

Noida International Airport Jewar boarding gates and lounges

Once travellers clear security, a direct path leads towards the boarding area. The initial phase of Noida International Airport includes 10 main boarding gates for flights. For services using remote stands, the terminal offers two dedicated bus gates on a lower level. These bus lounges feature similar seating and amenities as the main gate lounges, keeping waits comfortable.
