Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former Delhi chief minister, is known for his strong academic background. Born in Haryana, Kejriwal pursued his higher education at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, one of India's premier engineering institutions. He completed a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from 1985 to 1989. He cleared and joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) as an Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax.
