World Hindu Economic Forum 2024 to Inspire Entrepreneurship and Influence Policy Narrative

The World Hindu Economic Forum 2024 is set to take place this month in India's financial hub. The event aims to inspire the Hindu community towards entrepreneurship and shape policy discussions, according to organisers. Scheduled at a well-known convention centre in the BKC business district, the forum will commence on Friday.

World Hindu Economic Forum 2024 Promotes Entrepreneurship

Prominent figures such as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Union Minister Piyush Goyal are expected to speak at the event. Ravikant Mishra, secretary of the organising committee, highlighted a growing trend of people being satisfied with just finding jobs and blaming the government for insufficient job creation.

Encouraging Entrepreneurship

Mishra noted that the youth seem less enthusiastic about entrepreneurship. He emphasised that one of the forum's goals is to encourage Hindus to become job creators. Since its inception in 2012, the forum has aimed to provide policy recommendations and promote genuine innovation rather than superficial efforts labelled as innovation.

The forum seeks to amplify the voices of Hindu entrepreneurs, unlike industry groups like CII and Ficci that represent only a select few. Mishra stressed the importance of Hindus influencing narratives, drawing parallels with the global achievements of the World Economic Forum.

Learning from Other Communities

An organiser mentioned how Jews have successfully exerted influence globally and suggested that Hindus could draw inspiration from them. The forum will feature a range of corporate leaders, including representatives from Axis Bank, L&T, Bharat Forge, and state-owned LIC.

The event aims to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship within the Hindu community by showcasing successful business leaders and discussing strategies for economic empowerment. By doing so, it hopes to change perceptions and encourage more Hindus to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

The organisers believe that by encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, they can help shape economic policies that benefit a broader section of society. This approach aims to create a more inclusive environment for Hindu entrepreneurs on both national and international stages.

As the forum approaches, anticipation builds around its potential impact on policy-making and entrepreneurship within the Hindu community. The event promises to be a platform for meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas among influential leaders and entrepreneurs.
