X Formerly Twitter Down Today; ‘Welcome To Your Timeline’ Appears Instead Of Tweets; Know Why

Microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) and X Pro suffered outages in India and globally early Thursday morning, according to Downdetector.com.

Users on X were unable to view posts on the social media platform with a message that said "Welcome to X!".

Besides, users also encountered loading issues on X Pro (formerly TweetDeck), with a message that read "Waiting for posts."

In India, the platform was not showing tweets to Indian users today morning, probably due to some technical glitch that is affecting the visibility of the tweets. Just minutes after the issue surfaced, #TwitterDown started trending on the website.

Meanwhile, more than 47,000 US users faced access issues with X and X Pro, according to Downdetector data.
Downdetector tracks outages by collating status reports from various sources including users.

This is not the first time that Elon Musk-owned platform X has suffered an outage. The social media platform faced downtime in March and July this year. In July, according to Downdetector data, X was down over 13,000 times in the US and the UK.

Likewise, on March 6, the micro-blogging platform went down for a few hours. Several users had complained that they were not able to use it normally or faced problems while trying to access links, images, and videos.

On February 8, it was reported that many Twitter users were unable to tweet, follow accounts, or access their direct messages as the platform experienced a series of technical glitches.
