Xi Jinping To Putin: Here's Full List Of World Leaders Attending BRICS Summit 2026 In Delhi
India is hosting this year's BRICS summit from September 12-13 in New Delhi, which will include a gathering of at least 28 leaders and high-level personnel from 11 countries. At the top of the list of attendees are China's president Xi Jinping and Russia's president Vladimir Putin. These leaders are going to discuss and sign bilateral trade deals for economic strength. This's year, BRICS is guided by the theme "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainability," reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a people-centric approach rooted in the spirit of "Humanity First."
Additionally, the leaders will exchange views on strengthening intra-BRICS cooperation on common priorities and share perspectives on global and regional matters of mutual importance.

4:25 PM: Witnessing "Bharat Innovates Exhibition (Leaders of BRICS Member Countries) in the Hall 14, Bharat Mandapam.
5:05 PM: Family Photo (Leaders of BRICS Member Countries) at the Outside Lawns, Bharat Mandapam.
5:10 PM: Joint Tree Plantation (Leaders of BRICS Member Countries) also outside Lawns at Bharat Mandapam.

Under India's Chairship this year, over 350 meetings and high-level engagements have been held in over 25 cities across India to further strengthen the BRICS strategic partnership across three fundamental pillars: political and security, economic and financial, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges. Through these engagements, and business-to-business and people-to-people initiatives, India's BRICS Chairship has contributed to advancing BRICS cooperation through practical and development-oriented outcomes, as per MEA statement.

India is a founding member of BRICS, and has previously held its Chairship three times in 2012, 2016 and 2021. India assumed its fourth BRICS Chairship on 1 January 2026. The year 2026 also marks a significant milestone as BRICS completes twenty years since its establishment.
