The Chinese phone manufacturer Xiaomi has officially launched its most-awaited Xiaomi 17 series globally, which includes the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The main highlight of this new lineup is its cutting-edge features like Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processors and the new HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The Xiaomi 17 series is being called one of the strongest flagship contenders of 2025. The device will feature Leica cameras, secondary rear displays on the Pro variants, and massive batteries with fast charging.

Xiaomi 17 Series Price Details
The Xiaomi 17 series pricing has been announced for China, with the global rollout date and time yet to be confirmed. The Xiaomi 17 starts at CNY 4,499, which is nearly Rs. 56,000, and goes up to CNY 4,999, or Rs. 62,000. The Xiaomi 17 Pro price in the Chinese market starts from CNY 4,999, or Rs. 62,000, up to CNY 5,999, or Rs. 74,700. The flagship Xiaomi 17 Pro Max starts at CNY 5,999 around Rs. 74,700 and goes up to CNY 6,999 nearly Rs. 87,100.
These prices are for the Chinese market, and Indian launch details are expected soon. Going by Xiaomi's history, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max India launch could happen in late 2025. Post the launch, it will compete directly with the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

According to the data from the official Xiaomi website, all three smartphones come with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which is expected to give unmatched flagship performance. The series runs on HyperOS 3 (Android 16), offering enhanced AI tools, improved customisation, and new multitasking features under the "HyperIsland" interface.

All three phones come with a 50MP high-quality front camera, making them perfect for selfies and vlogging. The Xiaomi 17 series has Leica-powered triple rear cameras on all models, consisting of a 50MP primary lens, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. The Pro and Pro Max also include a 5x periscope zoom and a time-of-flight sensor for improved depth and portrait photography.
Battery Performance
The Xiaomi 17 series comes with powerful battery configurations designed for heavy users. The standard Xiaomi 17 has a massive 7,000mAh battery. The Xiaomi 17 Pro houses a slightly smaller but efficient 6,300mAh battery. At the top end, the flagship Xiaomi 17 Pro Max packs an impressive 7,500mAh battery, offering extended usage along with IP68 water resistance up to 6 metres.
Storage & Other Features
The smartphones come with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, ideal for heavy multitasking and gaming. Other highlights include Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, Dragon Crystal Glass protection, and advanced water resistance. The Pro and Pro Max models also feature the much-talked-about secondary rear display, which supports AI-driven functions, gaming, alarms, and selfie previews.
