Yellow & Orange Alert For Karnataka Weather Today: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain Alert for Issued THESE Districts
Karnataka weather today is mostly gloomy, as IMD has issued an Orange Alert and Yellow Alert for several districts across Karnataka as widespread rainfall activity is expected to continue over the next 24 hours.

The weather department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall which will come along with strong winds of 30-40 kmph, particularly across the coastal and Malnad regions.
IMD Issues Orange Alert for Karnataka Weather
An Orange Alert has been issued for Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga, and Chikkamagaluru districts for August 7.
According to the IMD, these districts are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places. Strong winds with speeds of 30-40 kmph are also expected during the period.
Yellow Alert Issued for Multiple Karnataka Districts
The IMD has also issued a Yellow Alert for several districts like Uttara Kannada, Kodagu and Udupi where heavy rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.4 mm intensity can be expected at some locations on August 7th
For August 8 the Yellow Alert has been extended to Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru
Apart from the districts under Orange and Yellow Alerts some parts of Karnataka are also under radar including Ballari, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagara, Chikkaballapura, Chitradurga, Davangere, Hassan, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Tumakuru, Vijayanagara
Coastal Karnataka Weather Forecast
According to IMD's 24-hour rainfall forecast, Coastal Karnataka will be experiencing active monsoon conditions in areas such as Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, and Kodagu.

Bengaluru weather on Friday has been cloudy & gloomy so far, and the IMD has forecast light to moderate rainfall in several parts of the city.
The rainy weather today can bring cooler temperatures, but also the possibility of temporary traffic congestion and waterlogging in low-lying areas is expected.

For people living in the heavy rain affected districts must avoid unnecessary travel during periods of heavy rainfall. One must stay away from rivers, streams, and flooded roads and be alert for landslides in hilly and ghat regions.
