Zomato's Subsidiary Zomato Hyperpure's Auditor BB & Associates Resigns

Online food delivery service Zomato announced on Saturday that BB & Associates, the auditor of its subsidiary Zomato Hyperpure Pvt Ltd, has resigned.

Zomato stated in a regulatory filing that the major subsidiary's statutory auditor had resigned with effect as of May 13, 2023.

BB & Associates stated in a letter to the board of Zomato Hyperpure Pvt Ltd that its resignation came after several negotiations with the management of parent company Zomato Ltd. The letter was published on stock exchanges.

"We understand that they want to appoint one of the large audit firms as statutory auditors of the company. Accordingly, we have agreed to step down as statutory auditors of the company w.e.f. May 13, 2023," the letter said.

BB & Associates was re-appointed as Zomato Hyperpure Pvt Ltd's statutory auditors for a period of five years following a shareholder resolution on July 14, 2021.
