India’s Green Hydrogen and Biogas Projects Progress Steadily with Tecnimont’s Ongoing Engineering Support
India's major clean-energy projects - including GAIL's green hydrogen facility in Vijaipur and the new biogas plant at Paradeep - continue to progress with support from Italian engineering firm Tecnimont and its green-technology division, NextChem. These projects form part of India's broader push to strengthen its renewable energy and waste-to-energy capabilities.
Recent international industry developments involving Tecnimont's global operations have drawn attention to how large multinational engineering firms manage projects across different regions. One ongoing commercial dispute related to a past project in Russia has led to discussions between EuroChem and several Italian financial institutions regarding certain historical transactions. The matter is currently being addressed through established legal and industry channels.

Analysts note that such cross-border commercial proceedings occasionally prompt companies to review financial processes to ensure smooth execution of their global project portfolios. Tecnimont's parent company, the MAIRE Group, maintains a significant international order backlog, which includes projects in Central Asia and other regions.
In India, Tecnimont continues to play an important role in multiple strategic initiatives. Beyond green hydrogen, the company is executing key units for IOCL at Paradeep and Barauni and is engaged in acrylic acid and butyl acrylate facilities at IOCL's Gujarat complex. These projects contribute to India's efforts to enhance domestic chemical production and refinery modernisation.
