First and foremost you can check whether this option of 'pre-approved credit increase' is available to you or not? This is largely decided basis the bank's internal policy.
For this while the leading lender SBI do sends mails and SMS on individual's registered email and mobile number, there is also an option as to how you can check it on your own:

2. In a case it is available to you, you need to now send a SMS in the format 'INCR XXXX' (last 4 digits of your card number) to 5676791 from your registered mobile number, or write to us at sbicard.com/email.

And this is for the situation, wherein you want your credit limit on your SBI credit card to be increased beyond what is being offered as your eligible limit.
For the same, you need to write to sbicard.com/email and the card issuing company shall reply on it in 2 working days.

Documents required for credit limit increase are form 16, ITR VI and last 2 months salary slip. Soft copies of these documents can be sent via e-mail to www.sbicard.com/email.

Post receipt and review of Income documents, the request for Credit limit increase will be fulfilled in accordance with the internal Risk Policy
