5 Key Income Tax Deadlines: The Income Tax Department has notified multiple income tax deadlines for June 2025. Missing these relevant deadlines may lead to severe repercussions, like penalties and additional charges.
These tax deadlines are important not just for individual taxpayers but also for other financial institutions and entities like banks, government agencies, departments, etc. Recently, the Income Tax Department notified the extension of the income tax return filing deadline for the assessment year 2024-25 from 31 July to 15 September. Here are crucial Income Tax deadlines approaching in June, 2025.

Tasks To Be Done Before 7 June, 2025
The Income Tax Department has fixed 7th June as the deadline for tax deducted and collected for May. The tax deducted by all government offices and departments will be required to be paid on the same day which the tax has been paid without an income-tax challan.
It is also the last day of uploading declarations received in Form 27C from the buyer in the month of May. Additionally, 7th June is also the due date for issue of TDS certificate for tax deducted under Section 194-I (A, B, M and S) for April.
By June 7, income taxpayers have to submit their Form 24G by an office of the government where TDS has been paid without challan.
Income taxpayers are also required to upload the declarations received from form 27C from the buyers in the month of May 2025.
Income Tax Deadline on June 14
The mentioned date is the deadline for issuance of TDS certificate for tax deducted under section 194-A, section 194-B, section 194-M, section 194S for April month.
Income Tax Tasks To Be Done Before 15 June
Government organisations and offices need to submit Form 24G by this date. The form is applicable where TDS or TCS is deducted for May month without production of a challan. It is also the last date for submitting quarterly TDS certificates for March quarter of FY25, certificates of TDS to employees in respect of salary paid during FY25. Stock exchanges need to submit Form No. 3BB for transactions in which client codes have been modified after registering in the system for May, 2025
It is important to furnish statement(in Form No. 64D) of income paid or credited by an investment fund to its unit holder for the previous year 2024-25 by 15 June, 2025. Securitisation Trusts need to submit the statement of income distributed among investors to the I-T department in Form 64E on or before 15 June of financial year following he previous year during which income is generated.
Important tax Deadlines On 29 June
It is the deadline for e-filing of a statement (in Form No. 3CEK) by an eligible investment fund under section 9A in respect of its activities in financial year 2024-25. Submitting information about any transfer of the share of, or interest in, a foreign company/entity as referred to in Explanation 5 to section 9(1)(i) in FY25 will not be allowed after June 29.
Important Deadlines On 30 June
Individuals have to furnish their challan-cum statement in respect of tax deducted under section 194-IA for May before 30 June. Additionally, people have to furnish their challan-cum statement in respect of tax deducted under section 194-IB in May. June 30 is also the last date for furnishing of challan-cum-statement in respect of tax deducted under section 194M, section 194 S in May.
Additionally, there is a tax deadline for the quarterly return of non-dedicated tax at source by a banking company from interest on time deposit in respect of the quarter ending March 31, 2025.
