Annapurna Yojana Alert: Rs. 3,000 To Be Credited This Week, But Many Women May Not Receive It; Here's Why
The West Bengal government is going to begin transferring Rs. 3,000 under the Annapurna Yojana from June 3rd, providing financial assistance to eligible women across the state. The Annapurna Yojana or Annapurna Bhandar, is expected to benefit lakhs of women who are currently receiving benefits under the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme.

However, beneficiaries must ensure that their Aadhaar number is properly linked and seeded with their bank account to receive the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Women whose Aadhaar-bank linkage is incomplete or outdated may face delays in receiving the Rs. 3,000 Annapurna Yojana payment.
Annapurna Yojana Rs. 3,000 Transfer Date
According to the latest announcement, the first phase of fund transfers under Annapurna Yojana will begin on June 3rd. The money will be credited directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts through the DBT system.
To receive the payment without any issues, beneficiaries should verify their Aadhaar-bank account linkage before the transfer date.
Who Is Eligible For Annapurna Yojana?
The scheme is mainly for women already enrolled under the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme. To receive the Rs. 3,000 benefit, applicants must have an Aadhaar-linked bank account and an active Aadhaar-seeded mobile number capable of receiving OTP verification.
The government has made Aadhaar-bank linkage mandatory to ensure smooth transfer of funds and eliminate payment failures.
How To Update Bank Details Online Through NPCI
Beneficiaries can update or verify their Aadhaar-bank linkage through the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) portal by following the steps below:
- First, visit the NPCI website and navigate to the Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE) section.
- Select "Aadhaar Mapped Status" and enter your Aadhaar number along with the captcha code.
- After OTP verification, users can check which bank account is currently linked to Aadhaar.
- If changes are required, select the "Aadhaar Seeding/Deseeding" option, choose the relevant bank, enter the account details and complete OTP verification.
- Once submitted successfully, the new bank details will be updated in the NPCI database.
Other Ways To Update Bank Account Details
Apart from the NPCI portal, Lakshmir Bhandar beneficiaries can update their bank details through Duare Sarkar camps, their respective bank branches, mobile banking platforms or the official Lakshmir Bhandar portal.
At Duare Sarkar camps, applicants need to carry their Aadhaar card, bank passbook and Lakshmir Bhandar-related documents. Officials will verify the information and process the update request.
Beneficiaries can also visit their bank branch and request Aadhaar seeding or DBT activation. Most banks also allow Aadhaar linking through internet banking and mobile banking applications.
How To Check Whether Aadhaar Is Linked To Your Bank Account
After submitting the request, beneficiaries should wait two to three working days and verify whether the update has been completed. The status can be checked through the myAadhaar portal, bank branch, customer care helpline or mobile banking application.
If the NPCI portal displays an incorrect bank account or users face server-related issues, they can visit a Duare Sarkar camp or contact their bank for assistance.
Why Aadhaar-Bank Linking Is Important
The entire Rs. 3,000 Annapurna Yojana payments will be transferred through the Direct Benefit Transfer system. If Aadhaar seeding is inactive, linked to the wrong bank account, or the mobile number is not updated, beneficiaries may not receive the amount on time.
Therefore, women covered under the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme are advised to verify their Aadhaar-bank linkage before June 3 to avoid payment delays and ensure smooth credit of the Annapurna Yojana benefit.
