Bank of India Launches BOINZ Freedom App in New Zealand; Check Key Features, Digital Services and More
Bank of India (BOI) has strengthened its digital banking presence in New Zealand with the launch of its new mobile banking application, "BOINZ - Freedom", on the occasion of India's 80th Independence Day. The app was unveiled at a special event in Auckland attended by around 500 guests, marking a new digital milestone for Bank of India (New Zealand) Limited.

The new BOINZ - Freedom mobile banking app was formally inaugurated by the Consul General of India in Auckland. Bank of India's MD & CEO, Rajneesh Karnatak said that the application is designed to give customers greater flexibility in managing their banking needs digitally. Its launch on Independence Day carries a symbolic message, with the bank positioning "Freedom" around the idea of being able to bank anytime and anywhere.

BOI New Zealand Expands Digital Banking Services
The new app brings several everyday banking services to customers through a mobile platform. Key features include domestic remittances within New Zealand and international remittances to India, allowing customers to manage transfers through their digital banking channel.
The application also supports biometric authentication and secure m-PIN login, providing customers with different options for accessing their accounts securely.
Customers can additionally use the app to download TDS certificates and account statements for savings, current and loan accounts. The platform also includes a scheduled payments facility, helping users manage recurring banking transactions more conveniently.
Bank of India's New Zealand Presence Dates Back to 2011
Bank of India has maintained a presence in New Zealand since 2011 through its wholly owned subsidiary, Bank of India (New Zealand) Limited. The bank currently operates two branches in the country, located at Auckland and Papatoetoe.
The launch of BOINZ - Freedom adds a digital layer to the bank's existing branch network and is aimed at making banking services more accessible to customers beyond traditional branch-based interactions.

The New Zealand digital banking initiative is part of Bank of India's wider international presence.
