City Union Bank

City Union Bank is offering one of the highest rates among the listed banks for the 555-day tenure. General City Union Bank customers can earn around 7.25% per annum. Senior citizens can earn around 7.5% per annum on the same deposit period.

Karnataka Bank

Karnataka Bank is offering around 7% per annum to general customers on its 555-day fixed deposit. Senior citizens can get around higher rate of 7.4% per annum.

Indian Bank

Indian Bank is also offering around 6.8% per annum to general customers and 7.3% per annum of interest rate on 555-day FD tenure.

Bank of Baroda's Golden Goal Deposit Scheme

One of the most popular schemes in the segment is Bank of Baroda's Golden Goal Deposit Scheme. It is a retail deposit with a 555-day tenure. The scheme is applicable to retail deposits below Rs 3 crore. It is available under callable and non-callable options, with different interest rates depending on customer category.

Under the callable option, general customers, including NRO and NRE depositors, can earn 6.75% per annum. Senior citizens are offered 7.25% per annum, while super senior citizens can earn 7.35% per annum. Callable deposits usually allow premature withdrawal, subject to the bank's applicable terms and penalty rules.
