Comparing SBI, PNB, & Bank Of Baroda Fixed Deposit (FD) Interest Rates Post RBI Repo Rate Hike

Fixed Deposit or FD is one of the most popular investment opportunities due to its assured income option. Additionally, senior citizens generally get higher interest rates on FDs, which is a lucrative option for them. However, the interest rates on FDs depend on the RBI repo rates in India. Here, three top PSU banks' FD interest rates have been discussed, post the RBI's latest repo rate hike, this month.

For State Bank Of India (SBI) account holders, for 211 days to less than 1 year FD rate for public is 4.60% and 5.10% for senior citizens, for 1 year to less than 2 year rate for public is 5.30% and 5.80% for senior citizens, for 2 years to less than 3 years FD rate for public is 5.35% and 5.85% for senior citizens, for 3 years to less than 5 years FD rate for public is 5.45% and 5.95% for senior citizens, and for 5 years and up to 10 years FD rate for public is 5.50% and 6.30% for senior citizens.

The interest rates for Retail Domestic Term Deposits below Rs. 2 crore have been revised, and the rates came into effect on June 14, 2022.

For PNB account holders, for above 1 year to upto 2 years FD rate for public is 5.45% and 5.95% for senior citizens, for above 2 year & upto 3 years FD rate for public is 5.50% and 6.00% for senior citizens, for above 3 year & upto 5 years FD rate for public is 5.75% and 6.25% for senior citizens, and for above 5 years & upto 10 years FD rate for public is 5.60% and 6.10% for senior citizens. Additionally, the short term FD interest rate is also lucrative, for 271 days to less than 1 year FD rate for public is 4.50% and 5.00% for senior citizens.

These interest rates are applicable for the domestic deposit for less than Rs. 2 core, which came into effect on July 20, 2022.

For BoB account holders, for 1 Year FD rate is 5.30% for public and 5.80% for senior citizens, for Above 1 year to 400 days FD rate is 5.45% for public and 5.95% for senior citizens, for Above 400 days and upto 2 Years FD rate is 5.45% for public and 5.95% for senior citizens, for Above 2 Years and upto 3 Years FD rate is 5.50% for public and 6.00% for senior citizens, for Above 3 Years and upto 5 Years FD rate is 5.50% for public and 6.15% for senior citizens, for Above 5 Years and upto 10 Years FD rate is 5.50% for public and 6.50% for senior citizens.
