Deadline For These Money-Related Tasks Have Been Extended, Check Details

There are various projects with deadlines that expire this month as the new fiscal year approaches. If these dates are not met, there will be fines or other repercussions for the violators. PAN-Aadhaar linkage, demat, and mutual fund nominations all had deadlines of March 31, 2023, however their respective ministries extended them. To avoid any last-minute complications, penalties, or having their account debits halted, people should make sure to complete the duties. PAN Aadhaar linking-

Permanent Account Number (PAN) and Aadhaar linking deadline has been postponed from March 31 to June 30. Those who failed to attach their Aadhaar card are given the extension. The PAN card will become useless if this is not done. The PAN can be made operative once more in 30 days by notifying the necessary authorities of Aadhaar and paying a fee of Rs 1,000, per the statement.

Deadline to add nominee for Demat account extended

The SEBI has also extended the window for designating beneficiaries for trading and demat accounts. The brand-new cutoff date is September 30, 2023. The assessment of the trading and Demat accounts in which the choice of nomination information have not been updated and the stakeholder input were used to make this judgement.

How to add a nominee to Demant account?

• Access the Demant account.
• Go to Profile Segment
• Access the Demat account by logging in and go to My Nominees.
• Choose Opt-out or Add Nominee.
• Complete the information and submit the nominee's ID.
• Input the nominee's percentage share
• E-sign the paperwork using an Aadhaar OTP, and the nominee's information will be processed.

Mutual Fund nomination deadline extended

The deadline for mutual fund unit holders to submit nominations or decide not to submit them was extended by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Tuesday from March 31 to September 30, 2023. The markets regulator had asked all existing individual unit holders of mutual fund units to make nominations by March 31; else, the folios would be blocked for debits. This request was made last year.

How to update nomination details

• Access your account using the DSP website.
• Go to Folios and amend the candidate's information by selecting Add nominee details under Holder details
