Dividend Alert: Max Healthcare Institute shares surged on Thursday after the hospital chain reported a 7% year-on-year jump in its consolidated net profit and a 20% final dividend. The BSE 500 stock had reported a net profit of Rs 342.22 crore in Q4FY26.
Max Healthcare Institute share price ended 1.42% higher at Rs 1091.55 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 1,06,234.43 crore.

Max Healthcare Institute Dividend
The company had announced a 20% final dividend. Max Healthcare board "Recommended final dividend of Rs 2/- per equity share (20% of face value of ₹ 10/- each), out of the profits of the financial year 2025-26," read the BSE filing released on Thursday, May 21.
The dividend payment will be subject to approval by the Members of the Company. Eligible investors will receive the payment within 30 days from the conclusion of the forthcoming Annual General Meeting ("AGM").

Investors must own the stock on or before the record date to become eligible for the payout. Max Healthcare's board of directors are yet to determine the record date for the corporate action.
Max Healthcare Q4 Result Recap
Max Healthcare Institute reported a net consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 8,373.45 crore against Rs 7,028.46 crore reported in the year-ago period. This 19.1% growth was driven by both existing hospital performance and the impact of newly added hospitals in the Max Healthcare financial results.
Total income for FY26 stood at Rs 8,536.07 crore, rising from Rs 7,184.10 crore, an 18.8% increase. Profit before exceptional items and tax came in at Rs 1,723.82 crore, versus Rs 1,480.00 crore in FY25, while full-year net profit climbed 34.1% to Rs 1,442.41 crore in the Max Healthcare financial results.
Earnings per share (basic) for the fiscal year improved to Rs 14.83, against Rs 11.07 a year earlier, marking 33.9% growth. Net cash generated from operating activities rose 13.6%, moving to Rs 1,633.32 crore from Rs 1,437.96 crore in FY25.
