HDFC Bank Customers Alert: These Services Will Be Stopped For Four Days From January 17-25 Due Maintenance

HDFC Bank Services Alert: Customers of India's largest lender, HDFC Bank, will not be able to carry services like UPI, ChatBanking on WhatsApp, SMS Banking, PhoneBanking IVR and usage of forex prepaid cards on four separate days. That is because HDFC Bank is going to carry out a series of system maintenance and hence services will be impacted.

Here is the list of important dates and which services will not be available on that particular date:

January 17:

As per HDFC Bank's website, it conducts essential system maintenance on forex prepaid cards for enhanced banking services. The maintenance will begin from 2:00 am to 5:00 am IST (3 hours) on January 17.

HDFC Bank said, "Forex card reloading will not happen via Prepaid card NetBanking and Instant reload portal." However, it added that customers can access HDFC NetBanking and MobileBanking to Reload Forex cards.

The reload will be processed the next business day (T+1).

January 18, January 24, January 25:

UPI Services:

In another update, HDFC Bank has announced a Scheduled Downtime Alert for UPI services on two separate days. These are January 18 and January 25.

For UPI services, HDFC Bank said, to enhance our banking experience, we are conducting essential system maintenance on the following dates:

- 18th January 2025 from 12:00 AM to 03:00 AM IST (3 hours).
- 25th January 2025 from 12:00 AM to 03:00 AM IST (3 hours).

Services that will be impacted are UPI transactions on HDFC Bank's current/savings account; RuPay Credit Cards, HDFC Mobile Banking app and TPAPs supported by HDFC Bank. Also, merchant UPI transactions via HDFC Bank will be impacted.

ChatBanking on WhatsApp , SMS Banking and PhoneBanking IVR:

Another 16 hours of downtime maintenance has been announced by HDFC Bank on January 25 for ChatBanking on WhatsApp, SMS Banking and PhoneBanking IVR.

HDFC Bank will conduct essential system maintenance for these services from January 24th, 10 PM to January 25th at 2:00 PM-a total of 16 hours of maintenance.

The update was sent to its customers via a registered email address. HDFC Bank said that it is important to note that during this period, ChatBanking on WhatsApp, SMS Banking and PhoneBanking IVR will be unavailable.

However, HDFC Bank also informed that PhoneBanking agent services will remain operational during this period.
