4 Crisil “No 1” Rated SIPs For Those Looking To Switch Mutual Fund Schemes

It is highly possible that the returns from your mutual fund schemes have not been giving good returns. We have collated a few mutual fund schemes which are No 1 rated across categories by CRISIL. It's important to remember that No 1 rated mutual fund schemes cannot in any way guarantee returns. We are just giving information and ratings and not recommending.

SBI Contra Fund

SBI Contra Fund

The SBI Contra Fund has been ranked as no 1 by Crisil. The 3-year annualized returns from the fund is 29.38%, which is very good. The fund has bulk of its money deployed in equities of which largecap funds form a major chunk. The assets under management of the fund is slightly more than Rs 7,205 crores. The minimum SIP in the fund is Rs 500. It's important to remember that this fund has high risk as the exposure to debt and debt related instruments, including cash in hand is not very high. This fund is suitable for youngsters and those looking to hold on to the long-term. Sips that way have far lesser risk as compared to lumpsum investments.

Nippon India Largecap Fund

Nippon India Largecap Fund

In the largecap space this is a fund that also has been rated No 1 by Crisil. The annualized returns from the fund for 3-years is 15.57%, which is more or less in line with most other largecap funds. About 62% of the funds are invested in largecap stocks, as is the mandate. The net asset value of the fund under the growth plan is Rs 54.90. This fund is suitable for those looking to start SIPs. However, we must emphasize the point that even though the fund has a top rating from Crisil and compares well with peers, there is no certainty for returns. Markets at the moment are very volatile and investors should stick to SIPs and avoid lumpsum investment.

HDFC Flexi Cap Fund
