HDFC Bank Hikes Interest Rates On FDs Across Multiple Tenors
The private sector lender HDFC Bank has increased interest rates across multiple tenors of fixed deposits of less than Rs 2 Cr and the new rates are effective as of 14th February 2022. Previously, the bank offered a 4.90 percent interest rate on deposits maturing in one year as of January 12, 2022, but the interest rate has since been raised to 5%. Whereas the bank previously offered a 5.40 percent interest rate on deposits maturing in three years, one day to five years, the bank has now increased the interest rate to 5.45 percent following the latest adjustment. As a consequence, the bank's interest rates on deposits maturing in one year and three years, one day to five years, have been raised and interest rates on the rest of the tenors have been kept unchanged by the bank.
HDFC Bank Fixed Deposit Interest Rates For Regular Customers
The bank is currently providing the general public an interest rate of 2.50 percent to 5.60 percent on domestic fixed deposits of less than Rs 2 crore maturing in 7 days to 10 years. Regular customers of HDFC Bank can earn the highest interest rate of 5.60 percent on term deposits maturing in 5 years 1 day - 10 years. HDFC Bank is offering the following interest rates on fixed deposits of less than Rs 2 crore to the general public as of February 14, 2022.

HDFC Bank Fixed Deposit Interest Rates For Senior Citizens
Senior citizens would continue to receive an additional 0.50 percent premium on fixed deposits of less than Rs 2 crore maturing in 7 days to 3 years 1 day- 5 years. Senior Citizen Care FD is a unique fixed deposit scheme offered by HDFC Bank for senior citizens. The bank provides elderly folks an additional 0.25 percent premium over and above the existing 0.50 percent premium on fixed deposits of less than 5 crores for a period of 5 (five) years one day to 10 years under this plan. This unique offer is only valid till March 31st, 22. The bank is currently providing a 6.35 percent interest rate on Senior Citizen Care FDs with terms ranging from 5 years 1 day to 10 years.
